Hashcat doesn't use my video card - Nafunu - 03-27-2024

I noticed that hashcat was very slow, so I looked at the graphics card usage and realized that my Intel processor's integrated graphics card was being used instead of my GTX1650. How can I change so that hashcat uses my GTX instead of just using the integrated one?

It is going to be because of your drivers and CUDA install. Follow the instructions here: https://hashcat.net/faq/wrongdriver

first see output of hashcat -I

these are the devices hashcat recognizes, if your gtx is missing, this is mostly due to missing or wrong drivers / CUDA SDK

Or they're looking at windows task manager thinking there should be a workload on it and there isn't. Common thing to happen, task manager will not show you GPU usage with hashcat.
